Kings XI Punjab come off the back of a loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore and lurk mid-table while Rajasthan Royals, despite being second last in the table, have beaten Mumbai Indians in their home ground and head to Mohali with confidence. This battle will all be about Jos Buttler vs Ravichandran Ashwin after the mankading incident that hogged headlines in the earlier match of the season between these sides.
Kings XI might ponder bringing back Hardus Viljoen for Andrew Tye while Nicholas Pooran is expected to continue over David Miller. Rajasthan might bring back Varun Aaron or Riyan Parag for Jaydev Unadkat and if Ben Stokes is fit for this match, he could slot back in for Liam Livingstone although we are still not ruling out a sane call to drop Steven Smith.
The best bets for this match include Rahul, Buttler, Gayle, Ashwin and Archer. The true bounce at Mohali should make Archer a must pick in your side. Consider even captaining him given Kings XI tendency to throw wickets away in the death.
Nicholas Pooran is a good middle-order pick while Murugan Ashwin and Shreyas Gopal are wrist spinners capable of picking wickets in the middle phase. Ravichandran Ashwin in the power-play and Sam Curran in the death are also wicket-taking options.
Do comeback after toss for final team.
Best bet: KL Rahul, Chris Gayle
Alternative: Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler
