We have some interviews coming our way...
1.30am
Manchester Originals started really well with the ball as the new ball bowlers wreaked havoc early claiming three wickets inside the Powerplay. The scoreboard read 34 for the loss of 5 wickets when Tom Curran joined James Neesham out in the middle. The two of them added 127 unbeaten runs in 65 deliveries for the sixth wicket to help their side to a fighting total of 161 runs. Tom Curran scored 67 runs in 34 balls and was the one who began the counterattack while Neesham grew into the game as he remained unbeaten on 57 off 33 deliveries. Richard Gleeson took two wickets early in the game but his last two sets went for plenty. Joshua Little, Paul Walter, and Tom Hartley chipped in with one each but they will be disappointed that they could not close the game out after taking an early advantage. They left the batters with an uphill task to climb and batting order failed to make a game out of it as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
1.28am
Oval Invincibles had their tails up when they walked out to the middle to defend a total that Tom Curran and James Neesham had so graciously helped them achieve. They would have been a bit worried with the way the Manchester Originals openers started but it was Tom Curran who continued his remarkable game by claiming first blood. The spinners took over thereafter as Danny Briggs, Nathan Sowter, and Will Jacks picked up a wicket each in quick succession. There was a bit of a recovery from the batters but Will Jacks returned to the attack to claim his second wicket and the opponents lost half their side. Gus Atkinson took quite a pounding as he conceded 47 runs in his 20 balls and was the only bowler who had an off day. Sam Curran claimed the crucial wicket of Max Holden which more or less confirmed that the game would go in their favour. The bowlers did their job in the death overs and helped their side get over the finish line with ease.
1.23am
It was a positive start for Manchester Originals in the run chase as they put on a 34-opening partnership in just 22 balls. Philip Salt was the aggressor as he scored 25 runs in 16 deliveries but perished playing one shot too many. Things took a disastrous turn as Jos Buttler who seemed to be struggling out in the middle departed followed by Wayne Madsen not too long after. Laurie Evans looked to be positive straight up but holed out in the deep with Nathan Sowter taking a remarkable catch. Max Holden tried to hold up one end but lost Paul Walter after a small partnership and they looked to be staring down a barrel of defeat. Jamie Overton provided support to Holden as he looked to fight a lone battle and take the game deep but was finally dismissed on 37 of 25 deliveries. Jamie Overton and Tom Hartley provided some fireworks towards the end and gave their fans a bit of hope but they always seemed to be well behind in the game.
1.22am
OVAL INVINCIBLES ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE THIRD EDITION OF THE MEN’S HUNDRED COMPETITION! ... THE RUN CHASE ...
11.53pm
As the match progresses to the second innings, the question remains: will the Manchester Originals successfully chase down this target, or will the Oval Invincibles' total prove sufficient to secure the coveted title? The exciting conclusion awaits in the upcoming innings. Stay tuned for the action to unfold.
11.53pm
James Neesham is up for a quick chat. He says that it was tough initially but credits Tom Curran for the way he batted. Adds that they got a bit unlucky losing the top order early but that happens in this format. Mentions that early wickets in the Powerplay will be key and their bowlers will be looking to do that. Ends by saying that it is extra pressure on the chasing team.
11.52pm
Manchester Originals' bowlers started strongly, exploiting the swinging ball to trouble the opposition's top order. However, as the swing diminished, batting became more comfortable on the surface, allowing the Invincibles to recover and put up a challenging score. Richard Gleeson was excellent up front and ended with two wickets while Joshua Little, Paul Walter, and Tom Hartley chipped in with one each.

Hits the good length just on top of the off stump. Jason Roy takes the front foot out and blocks the ball straight to the fielder at mid off. The Final starts.
10.28pm
We are all set for the game to begin as the umpires make their way out to the middle. The Manchester Originals players walk out onto the field before taking their respective fielding positions. Will Jacks and Jason Roy will open the inning for Oval Invincibles and will want to get a good partnership going here. Richard Gleeson has the new ball in his hand and is ready to begin proceedings. Let's play...
10.11pm
Sam Billings, the captain of Oval Invincibles, shares his thoughts during the toss interview, expressing his contentment with the decision at the toss, as he would have chosen to bat as he feels its difficult to bat under the lights at Lord's. He reveals that three changes have been made to the team's lineup for the final match. Reflecting on the team's journey, he acknowledges their successful run in the tournament, having maintained their position at the top of the table. With the final ahead, Billings emphasizes the team's determination to secure victory and emerge as champions.
10.10pm
Jos Buttler, the skipper of Manchester Originals says that will want to bowl first as they prefer to chase. Mentions that it is a quick turnaround for them but they are delighted to be playing in the showpiece event. Informs one change to their side and it is difficult going to different venues but it is about adjusting with both and ball. Claims that it is a great effort from his side to get to another final. Adds that when you miss out on a big occasion like this, it does not feel good so they are all looking forward to playing their best game and giving their all. Informs Tom Hartley comes in for Calvin Harrison.

9.55pm
We have just witnessed an exciting final in the Women's Hundred 2023 where Southern Brave Women emerged as the champions for the very first time in their history. The Men's Hundred final also promises to be a spectacular event with all the stars on show and the wait is almost over now.
9.42pm
Manchester Originals, on the other hand, have momentum on their side after registering the highest successful chase in this competition in the Eliminator. They fell at this hurdle last season and will look to go one better this time around. Jos Buttler who is the leading scorer in the tournament with 380 runs, was the hero in the Eliminator and led his side with a fantastic knock while Philip Salt, Max Holden, and Laurie Evans all contributed. They will be looking to replicate their performances but he will need a better show from their bowlers. Will Manchester Originals finally get their hands on the trophy? Or will Oval Invincibles be crowned champions? We will find out soon. Toss and team news in a bit.
9.37pm
Oval Invincibles have been superb throughout the season and lost only once to directly book their place in the final. Their players are not leading the charts but they have been very consistent and played as a unit which is a big strength for them. Sam Billings has led his side brilliantly and will hope for one more solid performance from his boys. Will Jacks is the leading scorer for them and they will hope that Jason Roy and James Neesham deliver in this game. Their bowling has been hit with some injuries as they will be without Spencer Johnson and Adam Zampa, but Gus Atkinson, Zak Chappell, and Nathan Sowter still make up a decent attack. The Curran brothers will be key in both departments and could be the difference in this final.
9.35pm
Hello, and a warm welcome, ladies and gentlemen to the big showdown! After a very exciting league stage and a thrilling Eliminator, it is finally time for the grand finale of the Men's Hundred 2023 where Manchester Originals battle it out against Oval Invincibles at the historic Lord's. Whatever happens, we will have a new champion at the end of the night as both teams hunt for their maiden title. The last time these two sides met Oval Invincibles demolished Manchester Originals but that should not have much effect here as the team that can absorb the pressure of the final is more likely to get over the line.

... MATCH DAY ...
27 Aug, 2.38am
After 33 matches between 8 teams across 26 days, we are now down to the final two teams in The Hundred Men's 2023. The grand finale of the third edition of The Hundred Men's will take place between the Oval Invincibles and the Manchester Originals at the Lord's in London. Neither the Invincibles nor the Originals have gotten their hands on the coveted trophy yet, and now they have an opportunity to claim it for the first time. Sam Billings' Oval Invincibles have by far been the best team on show, with just one loss in the league stage. By topping the league stage, the Invincibles qualified directly for the final. In the batting department, Will Jacks has done the heavy lifting and has found decent support from his opening partner, Jason Roy. With Jordan Cox ruled out due to injury and Heinrich Klaasen away for national duty, the Invincibles have called up Paul Stirling to bolster their batting. Skipper Sam Billings returned to form in the last outing and would want the likes of Tawanda Muyeye and James Neesham to step up in this crunch game. The Curran brothers, Sam and Tom, have been consistent in contributing with both bat and ball. When it comes to the bowling department, the pace of Gus Atkinson and the leg-spin of Nathan Sowter have complemented each other well to do the damage. With Spencer Johnson, Sunil Narine, and Adam Zampa unavailable for the final, the likes of Sam Curran, Tom Curran, and Will Jacks will have to deliver the goods with the ball in the final. As far as the Manchester Originals are concerned, they finished second in the league stage and had to take the Eliminator route, where they got the better of the Southern Brave to reach the final. For the Originals, their opening pair of Jos Buttler and Philip Salt have done the bulk of the scoring. The low run of scores from Max Holden and Laurie Evans has been a cause for concern, but both had handy knocks in the last outing. Jamie Overton has at times been promoted up the order, and the hard-hitting all-rounder has not let them down, chipping in with vital contributions throughout the competition. In the Eliminator, almost all bowlers went wicketless and will have to take their game up a notch in the final showdown. The return of Joshua Little comes as a massive boost to their bowling, and he will have Jamie Overton and Richard Gleeson for company. Renowned as a death-overs specialist, Zaman Khan has been expensive and must pull his socks up. In the only meeting between these two sides during the league stage, the Oval Invincibles registered a comprehensive victory. Will the Oval Invincibles continue their dream run and clinch the title? Or will the runner-up of the 2022 edition, the Manchester Originals, go one step further this time? We will find out soon enough.
