The Mavericks have won three of their last five games, but the wins have come against lowly teams. There is hope though, with Doncic and Porzingis being great this early in the season. Doncic, especially is playing at a high level and can be argued that he is among the top ten players in the NBA early in the season. The Mavericks are 6-3, but are perfect on the road. They will give the Celtics all they can handle, especially in the absence of Hayward.
The Celtics are rolling, with a joint-best record in the East and joint best record with the Lakers at 7-1. They have suffered a blow with the injury of G Hayward who is now out indefinitely after suffering a broken hand. There will be pressure on Tatum to step up now that Hayward is out, but all signs early in the season have shown that Tatum is ready for the responsibility.

*Day-to-day. Might play.
Probable playing XI:
L Doncic (27.7 pts / 10.8 rebs / 9.1 asts / 1.2 stls ): Doncic is on a crazy run in the last few games. He is scoring, rebounding, assisting machine and at just 20 is showing the world just how much potential he might have. He is the Mavericks best players, which is saying a lot about a team that has a player like K Porzingis on the roster.
K Porzingis (20.1 pts / 8.3 rebs / 2.6 blks): There was never a doubt about Porzingis on the offensive end, but this season he has been shining on the defensive end as well, averaging 2.6 blocks per game early in the season – a career-high. His numbers are very close to what he averaged in 2017-18, this is impressive considering that he missed the whole of last season because of injury.
J Tatum (21.3 pts / 7.6 rebs / 1.8 stls): Tatum is the best player on the NBA’s second-best team. That is a huge achievement for a 21-year old third-year player. He has been incredible for the Celtics this season, and now will become even more important as Hayward is out indefinitely with a broken hand.
K Walker (24.5 pts / 5.1 rebs / 1.0 stls): Walker is fitting right in at Boston. He is a solid veteran presence and compliments the young talent the Celtics have like Tatum and Brown. There was scepticism on whether he would fit in after the hole K Irving left, but he is fitting in right well. He understands when to step back and when to take charge; something that is evident from the wildly alternating numbers he puts up in games.
L Doncic (53.31 fantasy pts): Doncic is the best fantasy player in the game and will most likely end up being the one with the highest number of points. He will fill up the stat sheet better than anyone else in this game.
J Tatum (39.37 fantasy points): I could have also gone with Walker here, but Tatum will be filling up the hole that Hayward has left open. Besides, Tatum will also collect the rebounds and assists that Hayward averaged.
